Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Intube Music collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Intube Music (“Intube Music”, “we”, “us”) is a music streaming service operated by Intube Media, available on the web at intubemusic.com and as an Android application. This Privacy Policy applies to both.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account data: name, email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Profile data: optional bio and profile image.
  • User content: playlists you create, songs and albums you like, artists you follow, and comments you post.
  • Content you upload: if your account is approved to upload music, the audio files, cover art and metadata you submit.
  • Support messages: the content of emails or forms you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Listening activity:songs you play and recently played history, used to power “Recently played” and recommendations.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser or app version, and basic request logs, used for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics.
  • Preferences stored on your device: theme, volume, audio quality and similar settings are stored locally in your browser or app storage, not on our servers.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, SMS, call logs or health data. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

2. Why we use your data

  • To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
  • To stream music and provide features such as playlists, likes, follows and history.
  • To personalise recommendations and what you see in the app.
  • To display advertising in the free tier of the service.
  • To detect, prevent and investigate abuse, fraud and copyright infringement.
  • To respond to your support requests and legal obligations.

3. Advertising

The free version of Intube Music may show promotional banners and audio advertisements. These are served from our own systems based on where they appear in the app, not on sensitive personal characteristics. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:

  • with hosting and infrastructure providers that operate our servers and database, strictly to run the service;
  • with Google Play, for app distribution, crash reporting and payments where applicable;
  • when required by law, a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, artists or the service.

5. Data security

All traffic between your device and Intube Music is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data protected and to notify affected users of any breach that we are required to report.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account exists. Listening history and activity data are kept to provide the service and may be retained in backups for up to 30 days after deletion. When you delete your account, your profile, playlists, likes, follows, comments and history are permanently removed from our live database.

7. Your rights and choices

  • Access and correction: view and edit your profile in the app under Settings.
  • Deletion:delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account, or follow the steps on our Account & Data Deletion page.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data or to object to certain processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in, and browser local storage for your playback preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Third-party content

Music and cover art may be provided by artists, labels and rights holders. Links shared from Intube Music to services such as WhatsApp, email or social networks are governed by those services’ own privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, and the “last updated” date above will change.
